Cleaning Service Times
Cleaning is performed the day after your trash hauler pickup between 8am and 8pm. Cleaning times may vary due to weather, mechanical issues or periodic re-routing. Please leave empty cans at the curb no later than 8:00 A.M on your assigned cleaning day. The service charge is non-refundable if cans are not out, not empty, blocked, not clearly visible, or contain Restricted Material (see below). Returning for cleaning will incur a $15 trip charge. Nobody needs to be home for service, and we will text you when the job is complete.
Cleaning Location
Cleaning occurs at the curb, or in the alley behind your home at your normal hauler collection location. Please leave your cans out for cleaning just as you would for your trash hauler. A can retrieval fee of $5 may apply for repeated violations. Retrieval of cans from alternative locations, or on private property requires additional paid service. Reschedule, or cancellations
Cancelling, or rescheduling cleanings requires prior day notice to retain credit. The service charge is non-refundable if we do not receive notice prior to our arrival. We’ll do our best to accommodate your request on the next available route in your area. Future cleanings will remain on the weekly rotation for your neighborhood. Multiple rescheduled, or skipped cleanings may result in service cancellation, or transfer to less frequent service plan.
Can swapping is not permitted
Recurring service plans are discounted based on the frequency of cleaning. Your monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly plan is restricted to the same cans we clean on the first visit. You can add cans to your plan at any time with prior arrangements, please reach out to us via text/email/phone, or login to your customer portal to make changes.
Restricted Material
We reserve the right to refuse service without credit or refund if restricted material is identified. You are responsible for any fees associated with restricted material, and any damage it may cause to employees and/or our equipment. The following material is restricted:
- NO grass clippings; we may choose to clean a can with limited, minor amounts of clippings stuck to the sides and bottom of the can. We reserve the right to determine at our discretion if the clippings are excessive.
- NO construction debris, oil, grease, paints, fuels, chemicals, explosives, adhesives or other items banned by wastewater treatment plants or landfills.
- NO feces, diapers, animal manure or carcasses.
- NO hazardous material, mercury-containing devices, medical waste, syringes/lancets, or glass.
Acceptable can types
We can only clean typical full size residential garbage bins provided by your trash hauler. We cannot clean Wompost/Clementine compost cans smaller than 50 gallons.
Billing & Payment
All services are on auto-billing with a card on file. Recurring subscriptions require a minimum purchase of three cleanings on monthly/bi-monthly, and two cleanings on quarterly. Cancellation after 1st cleaning on recurring plans will be billed the difference for a “One Time” cleaning. Cancellations after payment has been received may incur a 3% processing fee.
Holiday Schedule:
Our cleaning Season runs from March through December 24th. Clean Can Now LLC observes the following holidays:
- May: Memorial Day (One Way Trash does not delay service)
- June: Juneteenth (Longmont only)
- July: Independence Day (One Way Trash does not delay service)
- September: Labor Day (One Way Trash does not delay service)
- November: Thanksgiving Day (Longmont pickup is one day earlier)
Routes scheduled on an observed holiday week, and the subsequent days of that week will be completed one day later depending on your trash hauler schedule. We may occasionally request to clean your cans on pickup day to accommodate Holiday changes. Saturday cleanings will be performed later in the day.
